PICHRTOVA BACK IN ACTION, READY FOR OBUDU
Czech Republic's Anna Pichrtova,one of the two ladies who was involved in a car crash at last year's 2nd Obudu International Mountain Race is back in action.The first woman winner of the inaugural Obudu International Mountain race in 2005,Pichrtova was unable to defend her title last year following the car crash involving her and another top female runner, Izabella Zatorska from Poland on their way to the Obudu Ranch Resort from Calabar.Both athletes were in action at the first WMRA Grand Prix for 2007 with the Czech woman coming second on the Grand Prix standing with 190 points behind Great Britain's Wilkinson Victoria who has polled 205 points.
Meanwhile Pichrtova has announced her readiness to participate in the third edition of the Obudu Mountain Race scheduled for the Obudu Ranch Resort on Saturday November 24.
In an e-mail sent to the chairman of the Local Organising Committee,LOC, for the highest paying mountain race in the world ,William Archibong,Pichrtova expressed her gratitude for the prompt medical attention she and Isabella received from the LOC,especially Archibong and then Governor of the state and initiator of the race,Donald Duke.
''I am doing ok and I am able to run and race now. I still have very
restricted motion in my elbow joint (it may be permanent) and I experience pain in the arm too. But I am able to do the thing which I love so much and that is running!!!

Isabella! We all can thank God that we are still alive!'',wrote Pichrtova who also confirmed that she will be in Obudu later this year for the third edition.
''I am planing to come back to Obudu and run a wonderful race this year if everything will be fine with my arm. For me there is already the will to be able to run the race and when I'll win that would be fantastic!
Please let me know what will be the arrangements for this year Obudu Mountain Race'',she concluded

The Obudu International Mountain Challenge is a mountain race of 11.25km with a 810m of ascent, up to a height of 1600m above sea level.
